About Passport Power Rankings
The VisaByCountry.com Passport Power Rankings is a comprehensive assessment of passports based on the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa.
Our ranking methodology:
- Visa-free travel: Each visa-free destination contributes 1 point to a passport's score.
- Visa on arrival (VOA): Each VOA destination contributes 0.7 points.
- E-Visa/ETA: Each e-visa or electronic travel authorization contributes 0.7 points.
The total score determines a passport's global rank. The higher the score, the more powerful the passport.
This ranking is based on data from our comprehensive database covering 199 passports and territories around the world.
